Hi, I'm Steve Knowles of Marketing Acumen.

I'm a seasoned marketing pro with almost 20 years experience including high-tech, B2B and consumer markets. I honed my skills in the early days at Sybase and Business Objects, launched multiple successful products, and built marketing teams from the ground up as VP of Marketing.

After two IPOs, I was ready for something different, and started Marketing Acumen which allows me to work closely with clients in a variety of markets. In 2003, we decided to reach an even broader group of clients by productizing some of the marketing tools and processes we've developed over the years.

I enjoy finding the right, effective mix of old and new media. I'm a stickler for metrics and ROI (well, actually ROMI most of the time), planning and measurement. It's fun to do something smart and creative that really impacts the bottom line.
