Let me introduce myself. I'm a "seasoned" (not old) marketing pro, a former VP of Marketing with a couple of IPOs under my belt. I now run Marketing Acumen, a marketing product and consulting firm I founded in '97. I'll be moderating this discussion, and writing many of the posts.
The purpose of this blog isn't to discuss Marketing Acumen or our products and services. Our goal here is to connect with our customers, communicate with other marketing pros, and get a feel for the "pulse" of the market by listening to what other marketers are discussing. So, your comments are always welcome.

As mentioned above, we do sell products and services that help marketers achieve their goals - and more - and when it's appropriate, we may mention them. There will almost certainly be times when we talk about topics that are related to what we do. But our goal here isn't to promote ourselves or our products - we've got a website for that.
